Location

Rousse is situated on the Danube River in the north-eastern part
of the country, and sometimes referred to as “Little Vienna” because of its distinctive architecture which resembles the one of the Austrian capital. Being one of the most important trade and cultural centers of the country in the past, it continues to be a major economic center in the region, the main driver of commercial and industrial development, as well as an early adopter of new trends in all aspects of life. Thanks to its good transport connections via road, rail, and river, the city is a natural gateway to Northern and Central europe, the Baltics, Russia, and the Mediterranean region which makes Rousse attractive both to
businesses as well as tourists.

The prominent Danube Bridge, which is currently the only bridge between Bulgaria and Romania, is also located in Rousse, providing for intensive traffic between the two countries, thus, increasing local retail demand.
